POSITION SUMMARY

A Software Engineer II is responsible for working in an Agile environment and contribute to the development of Fischer Identity’s product line. You will also be responsible to mentor Software Engineers who have less experience than you do, and write meaningful automated tests. Reviewing code of other developers is also part of the job, as you will be working in a Continuous Integration environment. You will put your analytical and technical skills at use to come up with elegant code, which is respectful of the standards that we use here at Fischer Identity. You will also use your deep and broad technical experience in order to come up with efficient, scalable, and highly available designs.

  • Contribute to the technical decisions related to each software iterations
  • Active participation in code reviews
  • Work closely with Product Management and the team
  • Must be self-motivated and consistently review internal processes, as well IAM industry knowledge
  • Help the team in ensuring the timely completion of the projects to meet the release/delivery dates

  • Extensive experience in full-stack web development, with proficiency in .NET Core, Blazor, and REST APIs.
  • Expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications using Blazor Web Assembly, Fluxor, and other front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, CSS).
  • Experience in Agile development, emphasizing iterative processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across the full stack, from front-end optimization to back-end debugging.
  • Problem-solving abilities to design and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technical requirements and new technologies.
  • Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge, support teammates, and accept feedback.
  • Ability to write clean, high-quality code efficiently.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Must have 3+ years of experience in Web application development using .Net/java technologies in a lead role

Physical Requirements: Position may require sitting at a desk or standing for long periods of time.  Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Language/Social Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer requirements. The ability to consult customers on best practices on how to apply Identity concepts to business requirements.
  • Analytical Skills – Ability to process and analyze vague, abstract verbal and written instructions as well as execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to read, analyze customer supplied drawings and complex documents, and communicate analysis in oral or written form.
  • Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Microsoft office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Expert level of .Net and/or Java with the Spring Framework, RESTful API development and Cloud based infrastructure, and expert level with JavaScript.
  • Other Personal Skills and Attributes – Ability to actively learn and listen. Must possess critical thinking, complex problem-solving skills, and strong analytical capabilities. Must be self-motivated, provide attention to detail and have the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Must be able to handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion. Must also be able to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.

Travel, Work Hours, Supervision

Travel Expectations: No travel required. This position does not require any travel.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM with 1 hour for lunch, or other typical office hours approved by the manager, as well as additional hours necessary to perform your duties.
