Blackboard integration overview

Fischer’s Blackboard connector provides access management, password management, and identity lifecycle management functionality, enabling seamless integration between Fischer Identity and Blackboard’s learning management system. Through identity integration, administrators can configure Blackboard Learn 9 as a connected system, validate users, reset account passwords, and enable or disable accounts. These features provide secure account lifecycle management while simplifying administration for both students and faculty.

On the provisioning side, the connector supports exporting and importing user accounts, courses, groups, and portal roles. It enables create and modify operations across these data types, ensuring accurate synchronization between Fischer and Blackboard Learn 9. By combining identity management with provisioning automation, the connector improves governance, reduces manual effort, and strengthens the overall user experience within the learning environment.
