AWS Identity and Access Management

AWS IAM is a web service by Amazon Web Services that enables centralized control and management of user identities and access to AWS resources.

AWS Identity and Access Management integration overview

Fischer’s AWS IAM connector provides access management, password management, and identity lifecycle management functionality, enabling organizations to securely manage accounts, roles, and access controls within Amazon Web Services. With this integration, administrators can configure AWS IAM as a connected system to extend identity lifecycle management into AWS, ensuring streamlined provisioning and consistent enforcement of security policies.

The connector leverages AWS’s REST-based APIs through a Java library implementation and supports authentication via the static credential provider option. By combining provisioning automation with identity governance, the AWS IAM connector simplifies administration, improves compliance, and ensures accurate synchronization between Fischer Identity and AWS cloud environments.
