INTEGRATIONS

Active Directory

Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that runs on Microsoft Windows Server. The main function of Active Directory is to enable administrators to manage permissions and control access to network resources.

Active Directory integration overview

Fischer’s Active Directory and Exchange connector combines access management, password management, and identity lifecycle management functionality to simplify account and resource management across directory and email systems. Administrators can configure both platforms as a single connected system, enabling seamless integration of identity users. The connector supports authentication, user validation, account enablement or disablement, and full password management, including resets and expiration controls for secure and efficient lifecycle operations.

On the identity lifecycle management side, the connector enables importing and exporting of user profiles, as well as creating, modifying, and deleting accounts with trigger-based updates. It also supports folder and network resource allocation, ensuring consistency and streamlined provisioning across enterprise environments. With these capabilities, the connector strengthens security, reduces administrative overhead, and delivers reliable synchronization between Fischer Identity and Microsoft Active Directory/Exchange.
